Everything an IBKR trader needs to review their performance

One dashboard for performance, positions, journaling, and the market context around your holdings — built specifically around Interactive Brokers statements.

Portfolio performance & P&L

A detailed breakdown of realized and unrealized P&L, return on NAV, win rate, profit factor, and time-weighted return — so you can see exactly how your IBKR account is performing.

Realized P&L is what you locked in by closing a position; unrealized is the paper gain or loss on what you still hold, marked against the latest price. PaprBoard reports both separately and together, because the distinction is the difference between a result and a hope.

Alongside them sit the metrics that describe the quality of an edge rather than its size: win rate, profit factor, expectancy, and time-weighted return. TWR in particular strips out the effect of deposits and withdrawals, so a mid-year top-up does not quietly make a good year look mediocre.

Income and costs get their own breakdown — dividends, Stock Yield Enhancement Program lending income, and interest, set against the commissions and fees you paid — so you can see how much of your return came from something other than capital gains.

Open positions & trade history

Every open position and closed trade, grouped by symbol and industry, with allocation, daily moves, and a complete searchable trade log pulled straight from your statements.

Open positions are grouped by symbol and by industry, with each industry showing its share of net liquidation value and a size-weighted daily move — so you can see at a glance whether a red day is one position or a whole sector.

The footer figure tells you how much of your account value is actually in positions rather than cash, which is the context that makes a daily percentage meaningful: if half the account is uninvested, the account-level impact is roughly half of what the holdings show.

Underneath it all is the complete trade log, searchable and sortable, with drag-and-drop column reordering and per-column visibility saved to your account.

Trade journaling — notes & tags

Add inline notes and tags like "swing", "earnings", or "mistake" to any trade or position, then group and review them later to sharpen your edge.

Notes and tags are editable inline on the Positions & Trades page and on Ticker Analysis — click the cell, type, and it saves to your account. There is no separate journal to keep in sync with your trades, because the journal is attached to the trades.

Tags are the part that compounds. Labelling trades "swing", "earnings", or "mistake" as you go means that months later you can group by tag and ask whether your earnings trades actually make money, instead of relying on memory.

The Daily Analysis page adds a weekly journal note, for the observations that belong to a stretch of time rather than a single fill.

Ticker analysis

Search any symbol to see your P&L and full history on it alongside live market data — next earnings date, analyst target price, and the consensus recommendation.

Search a symbol and you get your own record on it first: realized and unrealized P&L, every trade you have made, and your win rate on that name specifically.

Around it sits the market context — next earnings date, analyst target price, and consensus recommendation, pulled from Yahoo Finance — so the question "should I add to this?" has both halves of the answer on one page.

Earnings & economic calendar

Upcoming earnings dates for the symbols you hold, plus a macroeconomic calendar of major events, so nothing on your book catches you by surprise.

The calendar is filtered to what you actually hold: upcoming earnings dates for the symbols in your open positions, rather than a generic feed you have to scan.

A macroeconomic calendar of major events sits alongside it, so the scheduled risk on your book — both company-specific and market-wide — is visible before it arrives rather than after.

Daily analysis & market news

A per-day summary of trades, gross value, and realized P&L with a weekly journal, plus headlines pulled automatically for your open positions.

Daily Analysis summarises each trading day — number of trades, gross value, average trades per day, and realized P&L — with the day’s trades listed chronologically underneath.

News headlines are pulled automatically for the symbols you hold, and you can follow extra symbols on top. Group them by symbol or by date depending on whether you are researching a position or catching up on a day.
